MAMA KATIE'S NETS 4 KIDS PROJECT
This is a special project to help provide mosquito nets for kids. Each year thousands of children in East Africa die from malaria. One of the cheapest and easiest ways to prevent these early deaths is the mosquito net. As a mother and grandmother, Mama Katie (Kim) feels a special burden to help supply these life-saving nets. Having seen that the majority of the children in her own Sunday School class sleep without a net, she decided to start this project. (Because many of these kids do not even have a foam mattress or their own bed, most of them sleep with their siblings, often 3 or more to a bed!) After they started to supply nets for the kids in Sunday School, Tim & Kim realised that the need is much bigger than they can meet personally.
NOW YOU CAN HELP - Here's How! The nets can be purchased locally in Tabora for less than four dollars each. Yes, that is only $ 4 to help save the life of a child! Round it up to ten dollars ($ 10) and you can provide a foam mattress for a child to sleep on at night. Send your gift to H.E.M.A. (Heritage Evangelistic Missionary Association) at P.O. Box 45026 in Little Rock, Arkansas 72214. Be sure to write "NETS 4 KIDS" on the memo line of your check. Every gift is tax deductible and you will receive a receipt.
